Cub Scouts. Do Your Best. Have Fun Doing It.
The best way to find out what you do best is to do it. Swing a bat. Pitch a tent. Build a pinewood derby car. Cub Scouts are at that magical age where everything is new and possible and, most important, fun. They live in a world of “firsts” - first home run, first campfire, first checkered flag - where their game plan is their imagination. Their most valuable reward is the friends they make for life and a parent’s proud smile. These are invaluable experiences that can be had in Scouting. These are life lessons that transform today’s Cub Scouts into tomorrow’s Boy Scouts.
Joining Pack 62 is easy and can be done at anytime. The Boy Scouts of America requires an application to be completed. You can get one directly from us by (1) joining us at any one of our activities (please let us know you are coming), (2) letting us know the best way to get one to you or (3) you can complete the form available online at: http://www.scouting.org/filestore/pdf/524-406a.pdf When complete, return the application and registration fee to us. Pack 62’s dues are $40 annually. We've managed to keep the dues at this rate for the past dozen years or so because we have been very successful in our only fund raiser, selling Trails End popcorn. New Scouts are typically charged a discounted fee (usually $30). Membership in Pack 62 includes a subscription to Boys’ Life magazine, your first handbook and a Pack t-shirt (and possibly some other fun stuff through out the year). Any questions about Pack 62 or Scouting in general, please feel free to ask. Derek W. WilkCommitte Chair(303) 518-2183
